JAMMU, July 25: Digiana police arrested 2 peddlers and recovered heroin like substance from their possession.
“During intervening night of July 24-25, a police party from police post Digiana while on patrolling duty at Roop Nagar, Digiana apprehended two persons namely Manjot Singh son of Manjeet Singh, resident of House No 313/4, Sanjay Nagar (Digiana) and Vikas Kalyal son of Pardeep Kumar, resident of Roop Nagar (Digiana), who were trying to evade police in suspicious circumstances,” a police official said.
He said on their personal search, 4 gram heroin like substance was recovered from their possession. “In this connection, a case FIR number 197/2019 under Sections 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act was registered at police station Gandhi Nagar and investigation initiated,” the official added.
