UDHAMPUR, July 25: Dr Andreas Peter, Sub Divisional Magistrate, Basantgarh, conducted a public grievances and redressal camp at village Khaned of Sub Division Basantgarh.
Sarpanch Panchyat Halqa Kahned, Loudhra Mang and locals of the areas put fourth their problems and concerned departments redressed their issues on the spot.
Khenad is the far flung area of Basantgarh Sub Division and it is the stretch of almost 12 kilometers on foot. People of the area daily cover 24 Kms to and fro for their routine works , purchase of daily routine articles and get their official work done from different departments located at Basantgarh.
Departments which attended the camp, included Tehsil Social Welfare Officer, Block Medical Officer, Block Development Officer, Principal HSS Khaned, Revenue Department, Zonal Education Planning Officer, Range Officer, Forest, Tehsil Supply Officer, Inspector Fisheries, Agriculture Extension Officer, Assistant Engineer PHE & PMGSY, PDD, PWD R&B, Irrigation, representative of ICDS, Animal Husbandry and Horticulture Department.
About 500 people assembled over there collectively and stressed upon various issues, including early completion of PMGSY Road from Basantgarh to Khaned, early placement of teachers in the schools against the vacant posts, opening of Public Health Dispensary, extension branch of Sheep Husbandry Department, quality and timely supply of rations, early repairing and construction of double storey building of Higher Secondary School, improvement in communication signals of mobile phone beside erection of more mobile towers to improve the effectiveness of signals in the far flung hilly areas, supply of school furniture and other school related materials, early inclusion of left out and missing name of ration cards, supply of drinking water through distribution system, early settlement of old age pension cases, development of horticulture nursery in the area, clearance of pending liabilities of MNREGA scheme to labourers, etc.
SDM Dr Andreas Peter directed to all the departments to work sincerely and to properly propagate and implement the Government schemes effectively on the ground in a time bound manner. He assured the public to take up their genuine issues with concerned departments and higher authorities as well.
