CEC visits Phyang, Hipti, Skindiyang villages of Leh

LEH, July 25: Chairman- cum- Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) Leh, Gyal P Wangyal visited Phyang, Hipti, Tar and Skindiyang villages today to listen to the demands and grievances of people of this area.
CEC was accompanied by Councillor, Khaltsi Lobzang Sherab, Executive Engineers of R&B, PDD, PHE and BDO Rural Development and concerned officials.
At Phyang, giving a patient hearing to the demands and grievances of the villagers, CEC gave directions to the concerned departments to complete all the work before July 28. He gave directions to various departments like Xen PDD for installation of transformer and temporary street light, XEn PHE for drinking water facilities, Rural Development Department for temporary toilet facilities, R&B department for completion of on-going work of black topping of road from Photang to main road which is nearing its completion.
At Hipti, villagers of both Hipti and Tar had gathered and requested CEC for completion of road from Gera to Hipti. A rough surfaced road length has reached Hipti-doh as of now to which CEC gave directions for its early completion.
The 12 kms road has been sanctioned with the funds to the tune of Rs 4.5 crores out of which Rs. 50 lakhs were spent till date.
On the demand of the villagers for electricity supply, Xen PDD updated CEC that electrification is being done under DDUGVY and the lying of wires will be completed by September this year and electrification upto Hipti will be completed by the end of this month.
Later, in the evening, CEC also visited Skindiyang village to meet the villagers and to listen to the demands and grievances of the villagers.
