Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, July 23: All Migrant Camp Coordination Committee in a meeting here, today held under the chairmanship of Desh Rattan discussed the prevailing scenario in the State viz -a -viz the rehabilitation and return of displaced people to Valley.
The meeting said that the KPs are the main stakeholders of Kashmir and no solution is possible without taking the community into confidence. It, while reacting to the recent return move said that no return move will be acceptable which does not fulfil the geo-political aspirations of the community. It alleged that the mass exodus of the community was the result of the wrong policies of previous Central and State Governments who pursued the appeasement policy towards a particular community at the cost of the nationalist forces in the State.
The meeting rejected the often repeated statements by the leaders of some political parties that KPs have many leaders and organisations and said that those who make such statements should see that how many organisations are in Kashmir. When the talks are held with these organisations of Valley why not with KPs, it asked?.
The meeting categorically rejected the self styled persons hobnobbing with Hurriyat and separatists on return and said those settled in Delhi for last 70 years have not right to thrust their decisions on the real victims of terrorism. It also urged the Centre to clear its stand on return and rehabilitation of displaced Pandits.
The meeting demanded release of balance ex-gratia, healing touch policy for over-aged displaced youth, restoration and renovation of shrines and temples as well as restoration of migrants encroached land.
P N Jalali, M M Kanth, R L Sharma, S L Bhat, Chandarna Dhar, Priya Dhar, Vinod Misri, Chand Ji Khar and Rama Devi attended the meeting.
