RAJOURI, July 9: The Police held training for Village Defence Committee members at Keri village located close to the Line of Control.
Training was held in collaboration with Army’s 8-Sikh battalion. Additional SP Hqrs Rajouri, Liyaqit Ali along with officers of Army and Police supervised organized this training in which Village Defence Committee members from villages close to Line of Control in Keri took part.
VDC members were sensitised about their role in making fool proof security grid especially in terms of counter insurgency. They were asked to visit the nearest police installations for cleaning of weapons and other allied aspects. VDC members were also asked to ensure that no crime with the use of VDC weapons takes place as the same shall draw stern action under law.
