JAMMU, July 8: Akhnoor police arrested a driver along with cannabis.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Akhnoor Police Station led by SHO Inspector Sanjeev Gupta under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Ajay Sharma laid a naka and intercepted a tanker bearing registration number JK02CG-8505.
During checking, police team recovered 948 grams of cannabis from the tanker and arrested the driver, who has been identified as Kamal Kishore, son of Chuni Lal of Tehsil Majalta District Udhampur.
A case under FIR Number 153/19 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Akhnoor and investigations started.
