SRINAGAR, July 5: The giant OT light at one of the emergency operation theatres at SKIMS, Soura collapsed all of a sudden later today evening.
The incident triggered panic among the attendants, while the hospital administration was on the job to assess the situation.
The Medical Superintendent, SKIMS Dr Farooq Jan told Excelsior that the light installed in one of the operation theatres in the casualty came off the ceiling and that all is well.
“The light has come off the ceiling, the engineering wing is accessing it and it will be rectified soon,” he said.
However, the attendant at the emergency said that the theatre has been closed and nothing has been done. “We had surgeries scheduled, but nothing is being done as of now,” an attendant said.
