UDHAMPUR, June 17: A youth committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence in Majalta, here today.
According to Police, Ram Lal (24), son of Kasturi Lal of village Thalora, Majalta, consumed some poisonous substance at his residence. The family members noticed him vomiting in serious condition and rushed him to District Hospital Udhampur. In view of his serious condition, doctors referred him to GMC Hospital Jammu where he died during treatment.
The Police after completion of all the formalities and postmortem, handed over the dead body to family members.
Cause of provocation behind the extreme step could not be immediately ascertained while a case has been registered in this connection for further investigation.
