UDHAMPUR, June 13: Continuing offensive to contain the spread of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, Udhampur Police today arrested another drug peddler from Circular Road area and seized seven grams of Heroin from his possession.
Giving details, SSP Udhampur, Rajiv Pandey said that based on some reliable information regarding smuggling of contraband substance, a Police party led by SHO Udhampur Vijay Singh Choudhary laid a naka at circular road and apprehended the accused, identified as Parminder Singh of Saillian Talab, Udhampur.
During his personal search, seven grams of Heroin was recovered. Police arrested the accused the seized the recovered Heroin. In this connection, a case FIR number 267/2019 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Udhampur.
