JAMMU, May 17: The dead body of a woman was found hanging today in Bohri Chungi area of city outskirts.
“The deceased has been identified as Rachna Sharma (44) wife of Arun Sharma, resident of Manorma Vihar (Bohri Chungi),” a police official said. He said the body of the woman was found hanging this morning at her residence.
The official said the body of the deceased was handed over to her legal heirs for last rites after getting conducted postmortem at Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu. He said prima facie it appears to be a suicide but as no suicide note was recovered from the spot, inquest proceedings had been initiated by Pounichak police.
