JAMMU, May 13: Governor Satya Pal Malik has expressed grief over the sad demise of Choudhary Bashir Naaz, former MLA who also served as Vice-Chairman of the J&K State Advisory Board for Development of Gujjars & Bakerwals.
In a condolence message, Governor has prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family in its hour of grief.
Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad also expressed grief on the passing away of senior Gujjar leader of Poonch Ch Bashir Ahmed Naaz.
“I am deeply saddened by the sad demise of Ch Bashir Ahmed Naaz, who was a popular leader and served as a legislator in Jammu & Kashmir Assembly. A prominent figure of Gujjar community, he also served as Vice Chairman of Gujjar Bakerwal Board. His demise has created a vacuum which will be difficult to fill,” Azad said.
Azad expressed his deepest sympathies to the bereaved family and prayed that his departed soul may rest in peace.
Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) has expressed deep shock and grief over the passing away of veteran Congress leader and former Vice Chairman JK Gujjar Bakerwal Board Ch Bashir Ahmad Naaz and conveyed deepest condolences to bereaved family.
The Party described the demise of Late Naaz as a great loss to the State and party.
In his condolence message the State Congress chief GA Mir has expressed profound grief over the passing away of Naaz and conveyed heartfelt condolences to bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to departed soul.
