RAMBAN, May 7: A meeting of Jammu Kashmir Rehbar-e-Taleem Teachers Forum (JKRETTF) was held today at Dak Banglow in which various demands and issues including delay in process of conversion of ReT into teacher grade II and release of pending salaries were discussed.
Chairing the meeting, district president of the Forum, Farooq Ahmed Rounyal said that the delay in process of conversion of ReT teachers in teacher grade II is injustice with the teachers of the State. He said that files of many teachers are pending in different ZEOs and in Chief Education Officer (CEO) office, Ramban despite repeated assurances by the concerned officers to clear them.
The Forum members demanded the Government to immediately fulfill posts of zonal education officers (ZEOs) Khari and Batote, which are lying vacant from months. They said teachers and student community is facing hardships for different works due to non availability of ZEOs. They appealed Director School Education Jammu to personally intervene into the matter.
Stating that their salary for the month of January, February and April are still pending, the Forum members appealed the authorities to immediate release the same.
Those who spoke during the meeting were MA Wani, Akther Abass, Tirth Singh Balwal, Sharief Ahmed, Hafiz ur Rehman, Pardeep Chand, Javeed Ahmed, Farooq Mugal, Mohd Shafi, Sajad Hussian Bahroo, Bhar Mir, Surinder Singh, Zahir Sohil, Farooq Wani and others.
