JAMMU, May 5: Activists of Dogra Front and Shiv Sena under the leadership of their president, Ashok Gupta organized a protest rally here today against the former Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti for demanding ceasefire in the Ramzan month.
Addressing the protesters Gupta said that a good peace initiative of ceasefire was spoiled by the terrorists last time by resorting to violence wherein the security forces displayed exemplary restraint.
“District Vice President of BJP Ghulam Muhammad Mir was killed by militants last night, so Mufti’s demand has been completely shattered by people for whom she is demanding peace,” he further said.
Shiv Sena leader also said that month-long ceasefire had seen spike in number of terrorist attacks including targetted killing of Editor-in-Chief of Rising Kashmir, Shujaat Bukhari and Rifleman Aurangzeb on the eve of Eid festival.
Gupta also said that only solution for peace in Kashmir is to destroy Pakistan.
Those who were present in the protest were Lal Singh, Bantu, Gurdass, Anita, Sunita, Nanki, Garo, Surjeet, Rakesh, Ajay, Abhishek and others.
