JAMMU, Apr 20: A 32-year-old man allegedly committed suicide today by hanging himself in Bagh-e-Bahu area.
“A daily rated worker of Tawi Lift Irrigation Project namely Raju Singh Pathania son of Jagdev Singh, resident of Talab Tillo, was found hanging this morning with a fan inside Lift Irrigation office at Har Ki Podi, where he was presently posted,” a police official said.
He said the deceased had also attempted to cut his veins before hanging. “The body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites after completion of all medico-legal formalities while inquest proceedings in this connection were initiated at police station Bagh-e-Bahu,” the official added.
