UDHAMPUR, Apr 12: Hitting out at National Conference (NC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leaders for their oft repeated statements that J&K will cease to be part of India if Articles 370 and 35-A of Indian Constitution were abrogated, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national general secretary and incharge J&K Ram Madhav today said the State is not part of Indian Union because of the discriminatory Articles but due to the strong Instrument of Accession signed by then ruler of the J&K, Mahraja Hari Singh with Indian Union.
Addressing an election meeting here tonight, Ram Madhav said no one can challenge the J&K’s accession with India which is full and final. He reminded the NC and PDP leaders that J&K acceded to India much before framing of India Constitution and incorporation of Articles 370 and 35-A in it. He asserted that BJP Government is committed to the abrogation of the discriminatory laws including Articles 370 and 35-A.
Unfolding the policies of BJP Government for the State, Madhav said the party has fully resolved to weed out the terrorism from the border State and it will not rest till the last terrorist is eliminated to restore peace and normalcy in the State.
He said the BJP has formulated three pronged strategy in this regard which besides taking on Pak sponsored terrorism from front to eliminate it completely, “our Government will also erode entire over ground support structure of terrorism in the State by arresting the leaders of political parties and secessionist organizations including NC, PDP, Hurriyat, Jamat-e-Islamia, Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) etc”.
Madhav said the war against the terrorism will continue till finish and no one will be allowed to challenge unity and integrity of the nation. Besides, the thrust will be given to development of this border State to raise the economy of people and providing all basic facilities to them, he added.
He said with this intention in mind, the Modi Government had sanctioned Rs 80,000 crore special package for J&K as it wanted total development of J&K. With the development of the State, the BJP wanted to change the fate of common man of the State, he added.
He said the dignified return and rehabilitation of Kashmiri migrants is also top priority of the Government and effective steps will be taken in this regard soon after return of Modi Government to power again.
Taking a dig at dynastic parties who ruled the State or the Centre for decades together, Madhav said BJP will rid the people of State as well as country of the dynastic rule by ensuring that power should vest in the hands of common masses.
Lambasting the NC and PDP leadership who earlier had boycotted the Municipal and Panchayat elections with the plea to protect the 35-A, the BJP national general secretary said they boycotted these elections because they did not want that common worker of their parties should be empowered and when it came to the time of Lok Sabha elections they changed their stance and jumped in poll fray as they wanted their personal empowerment.
Madhav said this showed the double standards of these two political parties, which he alleged, are not the well wishers of the common masses. He accused them of befooling and misguiding the people of Kashmir on the name of Articles 370 and 35-A. These talks are totally useless and irrelevant, he added.
Ram Madhav, while taking a dig at Congress and other opposition parties for saying that BJP was making nationalism an issue during elections, said nationalism is the basic fundamental and ideology of BJP and the party will stick to it. He said the party which is wedded to nationalism will naturally launch a struggle against the anti-nationals.
He said BJP will make India terror free and while highlighting five years of performance of Modi Government, he added there were no terror attacks or bomb blasts as was happening in past in the metropolitan cities of Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Delhi etc. Moreover, there were no communal riots during the five years rule of Narendra Modi Government in the country and peace remained every where, he added.
He said today’s that situation is such in the country terrorists are afraid in entering India as they know that they will not be spared but killed.
He said Narendra Modi gave a transparent Government to the country and there were no scams and corruption cases like past. “Modi is an incorruptible person and no one can put a finger on him”, he added.
While highlighting the performance of Narendra Modi Government at Centre, he said BJP is going to people for vote with the report card of five years. This is the first Government in the country which goes to people with the report card for vote and support. No other party can dare to face people on the basis of its five years performance, he added.
Highlighting various welfare schemes of Modi Government, he threw light on Start Up India, Ayushman Bharat, Swatch Bharat etc and said 60 percent people in rural India had no toilet facilities and Modi was the first PM who took up this issue by launching the Swatch Bharat as he wanted that rich or poor should have same facilities.
He said Modi wanted that the poor people too have the right to lead a healthy life and so he introduced the Ayushman Bharat. Madhav said that opposition has no courage to face Narendra Modi so they tried to forge ‘Maha Gathbandhan’ drama. Here in J&K they also tried to make same drama after NC , PDP and Congress and others joined hands. he said in Kashmir, they have no such alliance and were fighting the elections separately while in Jammu to defeat BJP they have joined the hands but people will frustrate their designs by voting in favour of the BJP candidate and Union Minister, Dr Jitendra Singh.
He said the result of elections are evident and opposition also knows that Modi will become the PM for next term. He said BJP candidate Jugal Kishore will win by double margin than last time and same he is expecting for Dr Jitendra Singh, the party candidate for Udhampur.
He said opposition has not any future as they have started infighting over the PM’s post. Chanderbabu Naidu calls himself PM candidate while Mamta Benerjee says that she is a suitable candidate, Congress leader Rahul calls himself PM candidate and “I think what will happen to former PM, Deve Gowda”?
He said Narendra Modi is that Prime Minister who gave identity to the people of his country by making them a part and parcel in country’s developmental journey and made it clear that country’s progress is only possible with people’s participation.
BJP senior leader and former Minister Pawan Gupta and general secretary Dr Narender Singh also addressed the meeting.
Earlier, Madhav addressed a meeting of first time voters in Srinagar and also visited Ladakh to have interaction with party leaders there and discussed poll strategy for the region with them.
