JAMMU, Apr 7: Provincial President of NC Women Wing, Satwant Kaur Dogra today appealed women to vote wisely and reject those who talk about politics of polarization, divisiveness, attacking constitution and slamming democratic institutions.
Addressing a series of meetings of women workers in Jammu (Rural), Dogra asked the women to teach BJP a lesson for betraying people with false promises.
She described this election as a crucial one that seeks reaffirmation of the most fundamental guarantees of the Constitution, including rights to faith, personal liberty and freedom of expression.
She was accompanied by Provincial Women Vice Presidents, Rashida Begum and Satya Kaur; Provincial Secretary, Veena Oberoi and Block Secretary, Chanchala Devi.
“Where are the jobs which were promised by BJP leadership in 2014 elections,” she asked and accused BJP of betraying the forward area people on the promises of shelter sheds, bunkers and 5 marla plots.
Dogra also said that there was a feeling of resentment among women, farmers, youths, students and Dalits and even the business community was feeling cheated.
She exhorted women workers to launch door to door campaign urging women to ensure the victory of congress candidate Raman Bhalla to strengthen secular forces.
