Omar postpones Jammu visit

Jammu, Feb 16: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah who was expected to lay foundation of Sant Manjeet Singh Institute of Medical Sciences and Research along with Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad here on Sunday has postponed the programme.
Sources said that the programme was postponed in the wake of prevailing situation in Kashmir, which has erupted after the hanging of Mohammad Afzal Guru in Tihar jail last week. They said the National Conference patron, Dr Farooq Abdullah also arrived in Srinagar in view of prevailing situation.
Mr Azad would also be unable to visit here tomorrow as he was unwell.
Omar would now visit Jammu on Monday, sources said.
