JAMMU, Mar 15: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), Badal, J&K state unit has appealed to the Sikh community members and various Sikh bodies to field Sikh community members in elections after collective decision as this community has been ignored in the State.
In a meeting of the SAD Badal held here today under the chairmanship of Jathedar Mohinder Singh, the members expressed concern over the neglect of Sikh community socially, economically and politically. They said that time has come to field own candidates by the Sikh community where they are in winning position or can cause dent to other parties.
They said that various politically parties were exploiting the community for their vote bank. They appealed to the community members and leaders of various Sikh organisations to field own candidates after collective decision in the coming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in the State.
