JAMMU, Mar 6: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), State president and former MLA, Ravinder Raina today said that the Narendra Modi is first choice for the countrymen as Prime Minister to lead the nation for next five years.
Addressing a party programme at its Headquarters here at Trikuta Nagar today in which a prominent social worker from Basholi, Darshan Singh Thakkar along with supporters joined (BJP), Ravinder Raina, said that Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has boosted development, launched public welfare economic policies, started a crusade against social evils, took initiative for uplifting of downtrodden and launched many more reforms during last five years.
He enumerated schemes like PMGSY, Ujjawala Yojana, insurance schemes and other development projects launched by Modi Government during last five years. He said today the first choice of people for Prime Minister post is Narendra Modi and they want to connect and contribute in BJP’s success story of 2019.
Besides, Ravinder Raina, former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta, BJP State general secretary (Org.), Ashok Koul, State spokespersons, Brig. (retd) Anil Gupta and Balbir Ram Rattan and supporters of Darshan Singh Thakkar were present in the programme who took Thakkar and his supporters into the party fold.
Former Deputy CM, Kavinder Gupta said, Darshan Singh’s decision to join the BJP will strengthen the party in the Basohli area. He said that “we have entered in the phase of elections, and now we all need to strengthen the hands of PM Modi with the dedicated services of social workers like Darshan Singh”.
Speaking on the occasion, Darshan Singh Thakkar said he was inspired of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi who has taken nation in new era of development, which is inspiring people in every sphere of life. He said that the areas of Basohli and adjoining parts remained neglected in matters related to development for decades and the people there have seen now construction of roads, proper supply of water and electricity during the rule of BJP under PM Modi. It inspired me to join BJP along with my supporters, he said.
