REASI, Feb 18: An elderly woman died because of severe burn injuries under mysterious circumstances at her house at village Andher Bareli, under the jurisdiction of Arnas Police Station, here today.
The deceased, identified as Satyawama (70), wife of Chandu Ram of Andher Bareli, was found dead because of burn injuries at her house. The charred body was found by husband of the deceased, who claimed that no one was at home when the incident took place.
On being informed, Police reached the spot and shifted the dead body to hospital for postmortem and legal formalities while a case has been registered in this connection for further investigation.
Meanwhile, a 55-year old female pilgrim from Gujarat died because of cardiac arrest after she reached Katra after performing Darshan at the holy cave shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi, yesterday.
The deceased was identified as Pregna Behen, resident of Khedbrahma-Kantha in Gujarat.
