JAMMU, Feb 13: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on wage revision of workmen has been signed between NHPC and its apex level Union representatives.
N K Jain, Director Personnel, Avinash Kumar Executive Director (HR), Vijay Kumar Executive Director, Finance and other senior officers of the NHPC signed the MoU on behalf of NHPC.
While speaking on the occasion, Jain said, ” The signing of MoU for wage revision is an important land mark in the NHPC employees policy. It reflects NHPC’s total commitment towards implementing best employees policies across all levels and take care of their interests.”
He said the duration of wage agreement ( effecting from 1-1-2017) will be for a period of 10 years, that is, till 31-12-2026. About 4500 workers of NHPC will be benefitted with this new wage agreement. He said this MoU paved way for new pay scales and allowances for the workmen. It has been appreciated by the NHPC employees and their unions.
The apex level unions were represented by RC Khuntia president, All India NHPC Workers & Employees Federation, H Mahadevan president All India NHPC Employees and Workers Council, Jagdish Chandra Bajpai president NHPC Karamchari Mahasang and NK Dogra president All India NHPC Employees Front and others.
