UDHAMPUR, Feb 12: National Model Academy, Kail Pardai celebrated its Annual Day cum Prize Distribution Function on the theme ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padao & Female Foeticide’ at school premises, here today.
The programme began with the lighting of lamp and invoking the blessings of Almighty.
Over 300 students participated in the celebration and enthralled the audience with their performances.
Rajiv Pandey, SSP Udhampur, was the chief guest on the occasion, while Qaiser Mehmood, Tehsildar Majalta was the guest of honour.
Sana Khan, District Social Welfare Officer, Rachna Sharma, ARTO Udhampur & Nodal Officer “Beti Bachao, Beti Padao Abhiyan” and Dr KCDogra CMO Udhampur were the special guests. Chairman of school, Jagdish Raj Sharma, Sponsor Darshana Kesar, Managing Director Nirmal Kesar, Administrative officers Dr Neeraj Kesar and Pooja Balgotra and Principal Raj Rani Sambyal were also present on the ocassion.
Earlier, MD Nirmal Kesar presented welcome address, while Principal Raj Rani presented the School Annual Report, highlighting the achievements of the school in both Academic and Co-curricular activities. The students displayed a wide array of colorful events.
The main highlight of celebration was skit on female foeticide.
Chief guest, Mr Pandey while speaking on the occasion, congratulated the school for making efforts in taking such an enlightening theme for the Annual Function which requires a quick moral action on everybody’s part.
JR Sharma, Chairman appreciated the efforts of Principal and teachers for putting their soul in the school and for taking long strides in rendering quality education in Majalta and surrounding areas.
Certificates and trophies were also distributed among meritorious students. The programme concluded with vote of thanks by Administrator officer Dr Neeraj Kesar followed by National Anthem.
BMO Majalta Dr Sat Paul, ZEPO Dogra, CDPO Anu Radha, BDO Khoon Rajinder Kumar and SHO Majalta Nariender Jasrotia were also present on the occasion.
