JAMMU, Feb 12: In separate cases, two young people including a married woman allegedly committed suicide today by hanging themselves in Akhnoor area of city outskirts.
“Chinta Devi (25) wife of Ram Kumar and daughter of Ashok Kumar, resident of Mawa Pail, tehsil Akhnoor, was found hanging today at her parents’ home,” a police official said. He said the body of the woman was shifted to Sub District Hospital, Akhnoor for postmortem while the concerned police had initiated inquest proceedings in this connection.
Meanwhile, a young man identified as Parveen Singh son of Onkar Singh, resident of Pargwal, was found hanging tonight outside his home in Pargwal area. The body was shifted to nearby Government Hospital for postmortem while the concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter.
