SAMBA, Feb 12: District police Samba under the overall supervision of Dr. Koshal Sharma, SSP, Samba succeeded in foiling bovine smuggling attempt in the jurisdiction of P/S Ghagwal by rescuing 13 bovines.
Acting on reliable information received at PP Rajpura that the bovines are being smuggled by foot through border road of Kathua-Samba, a police party of PP Rajpura headed by SI Karnail Singh, I/C PP Rajpura under the supervision of Inspector, Rajeev Kumar, SHO P/S Ghagwal and Deepak Digra, Dy.SP Headquarters, Samba laid naka at Bai Nallah and rescued 13 bovines. All the cattle were shifted to safer place and case FIR No. 14/2019 U/S 188 RPC, 2/3 PCA act registered at P/S Ghagwal. Further investigation is taken up to expose the nexus of bovine smugglers operating in the area.
