REASI, Feb 12: Principal Sessions Judge Reasi Kamlesh Pandita today rejected the bail plea of Hem Raj, who was allegedly involved in rape with minor.
After hearing both the sides, the court observed, “the prosecutrix in this case is minor and was impregnated by the accused by deceitful means and from the record available at present there are reasonable grounds for believing that the accusation against the accused are prima facie true”.
“Moreover, the offences alleged to have been committed by accused are very heinous in nature as he has spoiled the life of minor girl. The offence of rape is considered to be a crime not against an individual but a crime which destroys the basic equilibrium of the society”, court said, adding “the incident of rape creates an incurable dent in the fabric of the social milieu and society as the whole is compelled to suffer”.
