JAMMU, Feb 12: Under the series `Meet The Eminent Women Personality’, Shanti Gupta Centre for Women Studies, MIER College of Education, invited Dr Indu Kaul, former HoD, Department of Gynecology, Government Medical College Jammu.
Dr Indu Kaul is an eminent professional and an empowered woman of our State who shared her experiences of life and journey towards becoming a woman of substance in her own area of specialization.
Dr Renu Gupta, Vice Chairperson, MIER chaired the session. The HoDs of various departments of the college along with the students and faculty attended the session.
Rupa Gupta, Joint Director, MIER, highlighted achievements of Dr Indu Kaul who has been member of Governing Body AIIMS Patna, Fellow International Medical Sciences Academy, former president of the Federation of Obstetrician and Gynecological Society of India, expert and Counselor Adolescent Health and former Chairperson J&K Police Wives Welfare Association.
Dr Kaul, while sharing her lessons of life, stressed that one need to be prepared to face the hardships of life. “Identify your passion and excel in it, follow your dreams and be focused, stick to ethics and work hard, pursue happiness and give back to your parents and all those who helped you in your journey and society at large,” she said.
She owed her success to two men in her life her father and her husband. In an interactive session afterwards, Dr Kaul answered various queries of the students and faculty.
A formal vote of thanks was presented by Monika Rathore, Coordinator, SGCWS. The programme was conducted by Honeyka Mahajan, a student of B Ed.
