JAMMU, Feb 7: The protesting Class-IV and contractual workers in Jammu University today received a shot in the arm after the Non-Teaching Employees Union formally announced to actively join the ongoing stir.
The Non-Teaching Employees Union has announced to join the token strike by Non-Gazetted Employees Union from tomorrow.
Meanwhile, all the Class -IV employees and casual labourers in JU observed three-hour token strike today from 10:00 AM to 01:00 PM in front of the Administration Block. They raised slogans in support of their demands and also took out a rally on the campus.
The senior members of Non-Gazetted Employees Union addressed the gathering and sought quick action over the demands.
Later a meeting of the NGEU office bearers and JU officers was held but without any conclusion
