JAMMU, Feb 5: Continuing their struggle against fee hike in Jammu University, students boycotted there classes and staged a dharna in front of Vice-Chancellor’s office, here today.
After boycotting their classes, students assembled in front of the Central Library where they held a demonstration.
Addressing the students, Manik explained how systematically the university administration was forcing the middle class to avoid higher education.
Other student leaders who addressed the protesters, included Anil, Naseeb Ali, and M.S.Bhatti.
Later the students marched towards the VC office where they raised slogans against the university authority and staged a dharna. They announced to continue the protests till JU withdraws its order for fee hike.
Among those who joined the dharna included Amit, Mohan, Pretty, Neha, Sunil, Mubarak, Shakeel, Bharti, Abhinav, Mohd Amin and Stanzin.
