JAMMU, Feb 4:A deputation of All J&K ReT Teachers Forum, led by its State president Vinod Sharma, called on Education Minister Tara Chand and apprised him of various demands of ReT teachers.
Mr Sharma sought regularization of Education Volunteers (EVs) as general line teachers who have completed their seven years service in the department, inclusion of ReT and EV period for seniority benefits, pension scheme for ReTs appointed before January 1, 2010, transfer policy for regularized ReTs, provision of SRO-43 for ReTs and EVs, enhancement of their honorarium and release of pending salary of SSA.
According to a release by the Forum, Tara Chand said that formal order regarding enhancement of honorarium of ReTs would be issued within days while rest of the demands would also be considered in phased manner. He also assured the release salary of SSA teachers very soon.
Meanwhile, a similar deputation of ReT teachers of Khour block, led by Surjit Singh and others, also called on Tara Chand and presented him a memorandum.
