JAMMU, Feb 4: Jammu Province Bank Employees Federation has extended its support to the call of United Forum of Bank Unions for two- day all India strike by all the banks on February 20 and 21.
The call for strike has been given against the alleged anti-people, anti-labour and neo-liberal economic policies of the Central Government.
The bank employees are demanding immediate discussion on the 10-point charter of demands of Central Trade Unions, control of alarming price rise, no to banking reforms and outsourcing, early settlement of wages revision and settlement of pending issues like compassionate appointment scheme.
This all India strike is being preceded by an all India conference of bank employees under the banner of AIBEA at Kochi from February 9 to February 12.
A delegation of bank employees from the State, headed by Com Arun Kumar Gupta, is attending this conference.
