JAMMU, Jan 15: Nagrota police rescued 82 bovine animals and arrested three smugglers.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Police Station Nagrota laid a naka and intercepted six Srinagar bound trucks.
During checking, police rescued 82 bovine animals from the trucks and arrested three smugglers, who have been identified as Mareed Ali, son of Mohammad Yousaf of Kherian Talab Tillo Jammu, Wahed Ahmed, son of Abdul Khaliq of Utterso District Anantnag and Satwant Singh, son of Darshan Singh of Motay, Suchetgarh RS Pura.
Cases under FIR Numbers 33/19, 34/19, 35/19, 39/19, 40/19 and 41/19 under section 188 RPC and 3/5 PCA Act have been registered at Nagrota Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Nagrota Inspector Deepak Pathania made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Mohan Lal Sharma and SP Rural Jammu Dushyant Sharma.
