Jagti migrants’ delegation calls on Khan, Wani

JAMMU, Jan 31: A delegation of Jagti migrants called on Minister of Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation (Independent charge), Aijaz Ahmed Khan and Minister for R&B, Abdul Majid Wani and apprised them of the problems of Jagti migrants in particular and displaced Pandits in general.
The delegation was led by Roshan Lal Raina, member Apex Committee. The Minister assured the delegation that he will personally look into the problems of Jagti migrants. The delegation also assured full cooperation to the Minister.
The delegation appealed him to visit the township to assess the problems. It, while complimenting the Government for enhancement of cash relief urged him to take the issue with GoI for further hike in view of price rise.
Later the delegation called on Mr Wani and appealed him to take personnel interest in renovation of road from Kandoli temple to Jagti township. The Minister assured them that the work on road will be started within days.
Moti Lal Dhar, Vinod Tickoo, R L Fotedar and Chuni Lal Koul were the other members of deputation.
