Cardamom futures decline 0.94 pc on adequate supply

NEW DELHI, Jan 31: Cardamom prices fell by Rs 9.80 to Rs 1,036.80 per kg in futures trade today on adequate stocks, following higher supplies in spot market producing regions.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in February declined by Rs 9.80, or 0.94 per cent to Rs 1,036.80 per kg in business turnover of 873 lots.
Similarly, the spice for delivery in March shed Rs 8.10, or 0.74 per cent to Rs 1,079.30 per kg in 131 lots.
Market analysts said besides subdued demand in the spot market against adequate stocks availability following increased arrivals from producing regions, mainly kept pressure on cardamom futures. (PTI)
