Ex-MLA demands funds to complete pending schemes

POONCH, Dec 23: National Conference has demanded special funds for completion of all pending Water Supply Schemes (WSSs) to tackle growing crisis of water in rural areas of district Poonch.
Provincial president, YNC, Ajaz Jan who paid extensive visits to various areas of this constituency including Loran, Sathra in Mandi, said that people were facing acute water shortage there.
The NC leader said that several vital Water Supply Schemes in Poonch are lying incomplete for the last many years due to paucity of funds.
” There is immediate need of provision of additional funds for completion of all the pending schemes. This is the only way to tackle the growing crisis of drinking water especially in rural areas,” NC leader said..
Ex-MLA also raised serious concern over the delay being caused in posting of doctors in local hospitals of Poonch area and appealed the Governor administration to carry out an audit of vacant positions and to post the doctors at the earliest. He demanded posting of specialist doctors in Mandi hospital and other vital PHCs in the area.
He also said that unscheduled power curtailment has reached at maximal level and is affecting normal life of people badly.
