KATHUA, Jan 23: The police arrested two thieves and recovered goods stolen by them from two shops located in Rajbagh area, from their possession today.
These burglars had broken into the Maniyari and Karyana shops of Sunil Kumar and Chain Singh at Rakh Hoshiyari on the intervening night of January 17 and 18 and decamped with goods, cash and a mobile phone. The matter was reported to Rajbagh police. The police on the basis of clues established, managed to arrest both the accused.
They were identified as Mohd Shamim, son of Gul Mohd and Farooq Ahmed, son of Mohd Farid, residents of Sarthali in Bani. They were presently residing at Kullian near Nagri. They have been booked under Sections 457/380 RPC. The stolen goods including jeans, jackets, shoes, currency garlands, pants, cosmetics, cigarettes, almonds etc besides cash, were recovered from their possession.
