JAMMU, Nov 19: The sleuths of District Special Branch (DSB) Jammu and Police Post Narwal apprehended a trucker along with 18 kilograms of poppy straw.
As per police sources, on specific information, the sleuths of DSB Jammu and Police Post Narwal intercepted a truck near Narwal Mandi.
During checking, the sleuths recovered 18 kilograms of poppy straw from the truck and arrested the driver.
The arrested person has been identified as Sher Singh, son of Shiv Dass, a resident of Arnas, District Reasi.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Bahu Fort Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Narwal Police Post SI Varuneshwar Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO East Vipan Chandran, DySP DSB Jammu Sukhdev Singh, SP South Vinay Kumar and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
