JAMMU, Jan 22: Minister for Higher Education Mohammad Akbar Lone today paid a surprise visit to Government College of Engineering and Technology (GCET), Jammu and took stock of its functioning and facilities available for the students.
The Minister directed the College Management to ensure punctuality of the staff and ensure the presence of faculty in the campus during the working hours. Any negligence in this regard will not be tolerated, he added and asked the teaching fraternity to work with utmost dedication. The Minister called upon the teaching fraternity to give their best to the students who are the future of the nation.
He impressed upon the students to strive hard to achieve their desired goal and bring laurels to the State. He stressed for taking every measure to strengthen the quality of education in the engineering and other professional colleges, adding that the Government was committed to upgrade the infrastructure at all colleges of the State.
