PEEU workers protest at Basholi

KATHUA, Nov 12: The Electrical Department workers under the banner of Provisional Electrical Employees Union (PEEU) led by PC Sharma held a protest demonstration at Basholi in support of their long pending demands.
The protestors raised the slogans in support of their demands . While addressing the Union president, PC Sharma criticized the State Government for step motherly treatment with daily wagers, need based workers and seasonal laborers. He highlighted the demands of laborers including the release of years long pending wages of need base/ casual/seasonal laborers who have been included and uploaded through biometric identification of 60000 workers list but not being paid wages in routine.
He said they also have not been given any proper scale while their conversation in regular cadre. He demanded that promotion avenues be created for those workers who are having a good / technical qualification like ITI, three years diploma in engineering and one year computer diploma DCA. Further benefits of SRO 43 to be included in the policy and amendment in SRO 520 of 2017, he added.
Later they took out a procession and submitted a memorandum of demands to ADC Basholi for consideration to higher authority.
