JAMMU, Nov 12: The sixteenth meeting of Board of Studies for Faculty of Agriculture of SKUAST-Jammu was held today in the Committee Room of Dean at Chatha under the chairmanship of Prof Dharam Pal Abrol, Dean Faculty of Agriculture.
The agendas of the meeting were presented by Dr Parshant Bakshi, Member Secretary that includes change in eligibility criteria for admission to B Tech Biotechnology as per Vth Dean’s committee report of ICAR, institutionalization of B.Sc. (Hons.) in Horticulture under Faculty of Agriculture and also to expedite the work of creation of Faculty of Horticulture, Agriculture Engineering and Dairy Technology.
In the concluding remarks, Prof DP Abrol stressed on adhering to academic regulations and framing of such curricula which will help in overall development of student so that they will compete both at national and international level. He also promised to leave no stone unturned for maintaining the quality standards in academic excellence of SKUAST-Jammu.
Professor VK Razdan, Incharge Librarian, Prof SK Gupta, Prof VK Wali, Prof Rakesh Nanda, Prof Sushil Sharma, Prof Sanjay Khar, Prof Hafeez Ahmed, Prof Anil Gupta, Prof Rajinder Peshin, Prof R K Gupta, Prof Jyoti Kachroo, Prof RK Salgotra, Prof Jagmohan Singh and all the members of Board of Studies including Associate Professors and other members participated in the meeting.
The meeting ended with vote of thanks from Dr Parshant Bakshi, Member Secretary, Board of studies. Dr Sanjay Khajuria and Dr Arvinder Singh acted as Rapporteurs.
