JAMMU, Nov 11: Bishnah police arrested a man and recovered 5 litres of illicit liquor from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Bishnah Police Station laid a naka at Laswara and intercepted a person, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police recovered 5 litres of illicit liquor concealed in poly pouches and arrested the person, who has been identified as Jeet Raj alias Shotu, son of Kamal Kumar, a resident of Laswara, Tehsil Bishnah.
A case under FIR Number 195/18 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Bishnah and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bishnah Inspector Rajesh Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Sourabh Prashar, SP Headquarters RC Kotwal and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
