Drug peddler arrested with heroin

JAMMU, Nov 10: Narwal police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested a drug peddler and recovered heroin from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Narwal Police Post and intercepted a pedestrian.
During checking, police recovered 4 grams of heroin from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Balwinder Singh, son of Gurmeet Singh, a resident of Nanak Nagar Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 284/18 under section 8/21 NDPS Act has been registered at Bahu Fort Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Narwal Police Post SI Varuneshwar Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Bahu Fort Inspector Pervaz Sajjad, SDPO East Vipan Chandran, SP South Vinay Sharma and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
