JAMMU, Jan 19: Mechanical Engineers Association held a meeting, under the chairmanship of NN Thussu at MED Complex, Bikram Chowk, here.
The members demanded the promotion of Engineering staff against vacant posts of Assistants Engineers (Mechanical) to the Superintending Engineers and creation of two posts of Hydraulic Chief Engineers (Mechanical) in both the regions of the State.
They said that these demands have not been addressed by the State Government since long.
Prominent among those who attended the meeting were R K Kohli (president), TR Sharma, Ajay Sharma, DK Sharma, Dalip Wali and AK Verma.
