JAMMU, Oct 22: Prem Nath Bhatt Memorial Trust (PNBMT) organised a meeting of its Core Group today to review the progress relating to the all important Temples Bill and two organizational functions falling in the coming months.
The meeting was attended by the acting Chairman of the Trust, Shiban Khaibri, Shadi Lal Koul, Sundri Lal Koul, Kashmiri Lal Bhat, M.K.Raina, M.K.Jalali, H.L.Bhat, Man Mohan Thaploo, C.L.Pandita, Bushan Lal and Virender Raina.
H.L.Bhat apprised the members regarding his meeting with the members of the ruling party and said that the meeting was very constructive and in the days to come we shall be witnessing concrete results in this regard.
Kashmiri Lal Bhat while speaking on the occasion expressed satisfaction over the preparations for the forthcoming Amateur Journalist Awards function and said that over the years the profile of the award has seen a tremendous upward change.
Shiban Khaibri informed the members regarding the efforts to meet the top functionaries of the Government and said that the meeting with the Advisor to Governor, Khurshid Ganie was very encouraging and we plan to meet all concerned to create a favourable environment for the passage of the Temples and Shrines Bill.
On the occasion members appealed to the Governor to play a historical role for the protection of the Temples and Shrines in Kashmir and to bring an ordinance in this regard.
