JAMMU, Oct 21: Sudhar Sabha Committee, Hartaryan (Udhampur) has submitted a memorandum to Governor SP Malik highlighting various grievances and genuine demands of the rural populace of Udhampur district.
Stating that road connectivity and health sector which should be the topmost priority of any Government/local representative has been fully neglected in the past in rural areas of the district, the Sudhar Sabha Committee (SSC) in its memorandum submitted to the Governor demanded upgradation of Pali to Upper Hartaryan Road, connecting Sonari Road to Upper Hartaryan and 24×7 functioning of PHC Hartaryan.
The committee complained that it and many other NGOs wrote several letters highlighting their problems to Heads of various departments but the same either remained unattended or transferred to next authority keeping in dark the applicants.
Stating that it is quite impossible for the poor applicants to submit their demands to Advisors at Srinagar/Jammu, the Committee urged the Governor to ensure that the every delegation is allowed to meet Advisors when they visit any district, as recently when Advisor Vijay Kumar visited Udhampur, SSC delegation was not allowed to meet him.
