JAMMU, Oct 12: 999 Productions honoured Miss Himalaya 2nd runner-up Ashima Sharma here today.
Speaking on her experience, she told that this was 6th edition of Miss Himalaya conducted by Lobsang Wangyal Founder Director Miss Himalya Pageant. Among 40 participants from all over region of Himalaya only 7 girls were selected as finalist and she was the first ever girl from J&K to qualify and selected for the prestigious pageant.
After selection she got grooming session in Machlodganj Himachal for 3 days, during which she visited many places and got chance to interact with each other cultures of Himalaya region. Finale was held on October 6 after 4 rounds-talk round in which she had to talk on a topic for 5-7 minutes, talent round, traditional costume and interview round judges gave their decision and she marked her 2nd runner-up place and was awarded by the jury members.
“Parul Bhateja, trained classical dancer and choreographer from Delhi, Neelam Kumari, Designer and Mehak Sharma, Property Designer helped me to win this place”, she added.
During this press conference, Parvinder Pal Singh, Owner 999 Productions congratulated Ashima for her success and wished her luck for future events. She is first female fashion choreographer of J&K and recently awarded by Indian Institute of Science and Technology for her contribution in her field. Ashima is now National Director J&K of Miss Himalaya Pageant. After now she will send the contestant to this pageant every year.
Social activist Aditi Sharma was also present on the occasion.
