JAMMU, Oct 12: Senior BJP leader and MLC Vibodh Gupta inaugurated a presentation of Sampooran Ramayana a dramatic rendition of India’s epic Ramayana, which he dedicated to brave martyrs of Indian Army who sacrificed their life fighting and defending nation.
While addressing the gathering, MLC Vibodh said that this year Ramleela is dedicated to the martyrs of Indian Army because they stood bravely against militants and fought to establish peace and security which furthers the message of Lord Ram. “Lord Ram always preached to raise voice against evils in order to establish truth and uproot injustice”, he added.
He said, ” the border districts of Rajouri-Poonch have made many untold sacrifices for the nation and remembering martyrs of the soil during festivals become our moral duty”.
MLC also complimented Ramleela Club, Rajouri for their hard work and dedication towards society. He said ,”Ramleela Club is organising Ramayana from pre-independence period and continued to work even during turmoils”. He conveyd his best wishes to the team.
MLC further equated corruption, drugs and rape with demon Ravana, Kumbkaran and Meghnath. He asked people to wage a war against these evils so that the message of Lord Ram could be realised in true sense. He asked people to learn lesson from the life of Lord Ram and idealise his ideas, thoughts and actions. He said, “our dream is to re-establish Ram Rajya in India that is to establish an equal and just State”.
District president, BJP, Dinesh Sharma also spoke on the occasion and prayed for peace, prosperity and development in Rajouri. He asked everyone to follow the teachings of Lord Ram . Ramleela Club, president Vishal Dutta appealed people to attend Ramleela in large numbers so that message of love and peace could be spread in society.
Some prominent citizens present on the occasion were Omkar Nath Chugga, Vijay Gupta, Satpal Sharma, Rajish Sharma, Rajish Dutta, Rahul Suri, Emroz Suri, Nishu Gupta and Radish Sharma.
