JAMMU, Oct 6: Senior BJP leader and MLC Vibodh challenged Congress leadership to confront him on development and progressive works while speaking in a massive rally organised in Rajouri today. He said, “Rajouri town witnessed tremendous development in last three years while during Congress rule only hollow promises were made and nothing was achieved”. The rally was organised by BJYM to boost 14 plus mission for forthcoming ULB elections in Rajouri Municipality.
While addressing the rally MLC said, ” BJP Rajouri has set the mission of securing 14 plus wards in forthcoming Municipality elections. He confidently asserted that opposition will taste worst defeat as common masses are expressing their faith and trust in BJP. He said “people want Congress free J&K and our commitment is to fulfil people’s wishes”. He further said, “Congress misruled the State for quite long time and stabbed the people with corruption, unruly attitude and appeasement policy”. He asked partymen to carry door to door campaign and highlight schemes launched my Modi governments to empower people living on the margin.
MLC further said there is a public perception that Congress is playing in the hand of separatist for petty votes. The results of ULB elections will mark the beginning of Congress Mukt Jammu, he asserted.
Ex-district president, Bharat Bhusan also addressed the rally and thanked people for participating in the rally in large numbers. He urged people to vote and support BJP candidates in ULB elections. BJYM district president, Raja Ratan also appealed youth to join BJP and vote its candidates to promote development in Rajouri town.
