JAMMU, Sept 23: A young man allegedly committed suicide by consuming poisonous substance in Domana area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, the man identified as Vinod (32) son of Tej Ram, resident of Patyali Chak, allegedly consumed some poisonous substance at his residence late last night following which he was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu by the family members.
“However, the man expired there after few minutes during treatment. After conducting postmortem, the body of the man was today handed over to his legal heirs for last rites”, he said, adding, Domana police had already taken cognizance of the matter and started investigations.
