SAMBA, Sept 20: Police arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest for the past five years.
As per police spokesman, a team from Samba Police Station Samba apprehended an absconder, who was at large since 2013.
The accused has been identified as Ashiq Ali, son of Raju of Haripur, Tehsil Hiranagar, District Kathua.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 2/13 under Section 188 RPC with Police Station Samba. Arrest warrant also stands issued against him by the court.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Samba Inspector Chanchal Singh made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Samba Deepal Digra and SSP Samba Dr Koshal Sharma.
