JAMMU, Jan 11: A girl allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at her residence.
As per reports, Gurpreet Kour, daughter of Daler Singh of Burj, District Samba, allegedly consumed some poisonous substance at her home.
Noticing her unconscious, family members shifted her to District Hospital Samba, from where she was later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for advanced treatment.
At GMC Hospital, the girl failed to respond to the treatment and died.
The body was handed over to family members for last rites after completion of legal formalities, while a case has been registered and investigation started to ascertain the reason behind such extreme step.
